Concepts

Intent

What an agent declares it is trying to do. It gives DotBridge a direction to evaluate; it is not, on its own, permission to act.

Door

The route through which work reaches the user’s computer and repositories. On-device clients use a local door; cloud agents use an owner-approved remote door.

Plainly: a door is a controlled way into your computer.

Receipt

The evidence required to close a completion. Every effect is journaled, and nothing is accepted without evidence.

Plainly: a receipt is proof a task really finished.

Gate

The point in repository work where the contract, patch, and approved tests are considered before a change can land.

CNP

A compact, typed, zoomable text format for agent state. DotBridge uses CNP as its wire and state language.

Wire + state language

CNP carries the state that makes re-orientation cheap. An agent can be given a next lawful request instead of reconstructing a route from scratch.

Plainly: a lawful step is the next action the rules allow.

intent: "run approved tests"
next_step: typed_request
route: door
completion: receipt + evidence
